The "Children's Respiratory Health Led by Academic Leadership" themed city salon, jointly organized by Shenzhen Medical Association and Shenzhen Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, and hosted by Jiuhua Huayuan Pharmaceutical, was held on May 11th at the Grand Yuntian Hotel in Shenzhen Zhonghang City.

Professor Yu Minfeng, the chairman of the conference, made an opening speech. She said: Shenzhen, as the youngest city in China, has 17.8% children aged 0-14. The population mobility is strong and the climate is hot and humid, which leads to a unique challenge of "high diversity and seasonal fluctuations" in the spread of pathogens. Protecting children's respiratory health is not only related to the future of the Greater Bay Area, but also tests whether medical prevention and control strategies can accurately match the dual challenges of "hot and humid climate" and "population mobility in super large cities".

The theme of this conference is "Academic Leadership in Children's Respiratory Health". Experts and clinical backbones from pediatrics, internal medicine, general practice, Chinese and Western medicine fields at all levels of medical institutions in Shenzhen gathered together to discuss the epidemiology, diagnosis and treatment progress, clinical value of drug prevention and treatment of children's respiratory diseases, case exchange and sharing, and explore strategies for the prevention and treatment of children's respiratory health.

During the meeting, experts had full exchanges and discussions on the characteristics of children's respiratory diseases and how to prevent them, the clinical characteristics and advantages of traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine in the treatment of children's respiratory diseases, and the rational and standardized use of traditional Chinese patent medicines and simple preparations in clinical practice. The academic atmosphere was strong.

The cause of children's respiratory health requires academic guidance, as well as practical improvement in clinical diagnosis and treatment techniques and new drugs. This urban salon is not only an academic feast, but also a practical conference to promote communication and progress in the prevention and treatment of children's respiratory health. Looking forward to the future, starting from this conference, we will integrate the wisdom of Chinese and Western medicine, work together to overcome the difficulties of diagnosis and treatment, and build a more solid respiratory health barrier for children!
